Ever since then been on the grind pursuing what used to be a dream; now a vivid experience in music. I have grown now with a my high school sweetheart who supports me, and i have two hungry children i do this for.. Its time for me to grow up.. I Dropped out of school, hustled, than got a girl pregnant. To make things right i went back and got my GED got me a job til i went into the army. Got arrested several time for mistakes i cant change that got me into my struggling stage. Got discharged & now im back to working with a dream which i should have put more time into. Seems to be my calling now. short and simple.." Jay Deuce was born Justin Campbell on January 10,1988 in a city called Petersburg, VA and was raised in Ettrick, VA where he was raised by his mother and grandparents. Growing up as an only child Jay Deuce was constantly looking for ways to keep himself busy. One of those ways was writing poetry and music lyrics. He wrote his very first song at the tender age of 7 years old. He continued to write songs throughout his youth. At the age of 17 he had an opportunity to record his first hit "Get My Shine On" featuring 45 aka Charles Ford from Buckwild Records while traveling in Korea. This song would become the first of many Jay Deuce hits such as "Get in ya zone" featuring a CBA production, "Aint Fuckin Wit Me" which features a Richard Bishop beat, "Shawty got", featuring a Neo beat, and "Say Yes" which features a Paul Cabbin beat from Stupid Beatz Production. "Say Yes" is Jay Deuce's newest single to date. "Say Yes" has had an overwhelming response online and on the radio because there was such a huge response Jay Deuce partnered up with T-Plezya on the remix which is currently creating an even bigger buzz.
Jay Deuce truly has a way with the ladies combining his sexual lyrics with his sulrty voice, but don't get it twisted with hits like "Ain't Fuckin Wit Me" and "Get In Ya Zone" there is definitely something for the fellas to vibe to as well. Since early 2009 Jay deuce has been heating up the mixtape scene being featured on the Urban Entertainment mixtape series "Keepin it Urban" Vols 2, 5 and 6. His songs "Say Yes" and the radio version of "Ain't Fuckin Wit Me" called "Ain't Got Nothin On Me" are currently in heavy rotation on the radio station called Unheard Radio with DJ Samore. Currently Jay Deuce is working on a few projects including his debut mixtape called "The Introduction" coming out in 2010 in which he intends on bridging the gap between hip hop and R&B, yes thats right yall...R&B.
